A Letter from the Founder

Greeting ladies!

When we created the Tri for the Cure in 2004, our mission was simple – to build a women’s only triathlon that highlights the power of women working together towards a common goal while raising money to support breast cancer awareness and treatment in Colorado.  With your help, we have been successful beyond our wildest dreams, raising more than $1,000,000 – all of it staying in Colorado, and all of it use for the prevention and treatment of breast cancer.

To date, you have overwhelmingly endorsed the Tri’s support of the Denver Metropolitan Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  We will continue to select the Tri’s charitable beneficiary based on input from our participants and the beneficiary’s ability to make the most effective use of the money you raise.  Fundraising is not a requirement for race participation, and everyone will experience the camaraderie of competing shoulder-to-shoulder with women committed to a unified goal.
